how to make a scar with makeup-tom

STEP 1

1
Cleanse the skin where the cut will appear.
STEP 2

Trace the wound with black or brown eyeliner.

STEP 3

Add blood using bright red lipstick or fake blood. Trace the wound, covering and overlapping the traced area. Be sure to apply thickly. You could also use nail polish for this step.

STEP 4

Apply a layer of clear, shiny lip gloss to make the bleeding appear fresh.

STEP 5

Apply a little blush around the wound to make it appear sore.

STEP 6

Finished.

This is an easy way to do a very real looking scar/cut in face, arm, leg or anywhere that will look affective in our film. And because there is only one artistic person in our group this is something we will all be able to do to speed things along with preparation before the actual filming.

This is also a good way to bring our characters pasts to life to make the audience think .... Where did the scar come from? Why does he have this scar? How important is this person? These are all things that we will want to ask in our film and also to set up the rest of the film.

  1. To make this into top level 4 post, add a video of you, yourself doing this - that makes it come alive and then add the excerpt from your film where you have used it.
